TALES FROM ORLÝNN

Double cross your heart or succumb to it . . .

This will be a series of interconnected fantasy stand-alone novels, inspired by folklore, classics and fairytales, set in the same world. Each book will follow one couple, and their story will be resolved within that book. In BLOODLORN, these characters are all introduced, with their respective story arcs teased.

Bloodlorn

CARMILLA meets THE SERPENT AND THE WINGS OF NIGHT in this gothic love story.

BLOODLORN is a Sapphic romantasy, pitched as a love letter to mythology and folklore, in which Daphne enters a deadly annual tithe to prove herself worthy to the God of Light by slaying his greatest nemesis, but finds herself intrigued and becomes tangled up in a forbidden romance with the hosting villainess. Perfect for fans of Rachel Gillig's ONE DARK WINDOW and Kaylie Smith's PHANTASMA.

Rights for his title have been acquired:

  • World English rights, by Diversion Books (USA)

  • Dutch translation rights, by Hamley Books (Belgium)

  • Portuguese translation rights, by DL Books (Brazil)

  • German translation rights are in discussion

COPYBACK:

Aeson, God of Light, is revered by humans and deities alike. His temples are a sanctuary for the desperate, though his benevolence always comes at a cost of his choosing. Bound to the god as penance for her actions, Daphne finds herself withering in the shadow he casts. And when she begs Aeson to stop hiding their love affair, he assigns her a deadly quest to prove her worth: win Deianira’s twisted tournament, kill the Goddess of Darkness and earn back Aeson’s affection.

But entering Deianira's Reaping means giving herself over to her dark claim, and as it courses through Daphne's veins, it turns her heart into a traitor. No light-walking god should be made aware of the depth of her sins . . .

If she’s to survive, she’ll need to hone her soft nature into lethal poison.

And double cross her heart to keep her sanity.
